Setareh Pesyani joins 'Blue Whale'

Iranian actress Setareh Pesyani has joined Fereydoun Jeyrani's new project 'Blue Whale'.

So far, Leila hatami, Hossein Yari, Vishka Asayesh, Majid Mozaffari, Parivash Nazariyeh and Azadeh Samadi have joined the project as cast members.

Penned by Bahram Tavakkoli and produced by Saeed Malekan, 'Blue Whale' is in the pre-production stage. The movie is being made to be screened at home market.

Setareh Pesyani is daughter of Atila Pesyani, the famous Iranian actor.

Her debut happened when she was 5 years old, in a play directed by her father.

In 1991, she entered cinema by acting in ‘The World's Best Dad’.

She has directed the play ‘Magic Musical Instrument’ in 1995, when she was 13.

Setareh has played in several movies and series such as ‘Unfinished Narrations’, ‘Three Women’, ‘The Third Wave’, ‘Registry Number 13’, and ‘No Men Allowed’.

She has won the best actress award at the 28th Fajr Theater Festival for playing in ‘The House’ in 2009.
